It’s a good thing when one’s just having a bad day to have a little surprise dropped in out of the blue; completely out of left field. This time, it was Jungeun Vella of JE*Republic who brought up my mood with her latest hair release, “Antoinette”.

JE*Republic’s Antoinette is a beautiful updo with some wispy escapes from the tri-tiered buns, wrapped with a beautiful string of pearls. Both the pearls and the hair, itself, has a resize capabilities for easy fitting without having to fiddle with edit.

Always full of goodies, I can hardly wait to see what Jungeun has up her sleeve next!

After 3 years and 30+ shows Atlantis Modelling Agency CEO and founder Valerie McDunnough has decided to end her work at the agency and focus on her real life.

The agency will however continue its long and proud history of showing under the management of new CEO Eria Ziemia and CO-CEO’s Tempest Hennesy and Takeshi Kiama.

Eria Ziemia has been working within the fashion indusry of SL for 3 years, gaining a lot of experience from positions such as marketer at Aspire to modeling, to Administrative Manager of “Essence of SL” magazine. In addition she has been involved with event organizing as well as working as hostess moving up to senior manager at venues like Dublin in SL.

Takeshi Kiama has been involved with fashion world in numerous ways, from model to photographer to writer and blogger. In 2007 Takeshi Kiama founded “Essence of SL” magazine. Though no longer published, its blog Essence of SL has enjoyed a long and healthy readership and is still maintained to this day.

Takeshi and Eria both been a part of Atlantis for over 2½ years and working closely with Valerie McDunnough. While Tempest is a new addition to Atlantis, she brings a lot of experience from walking the catwalk and working in several agencies such as Ewing, Timeless and Sxy2nd, including being CO-CEO of UVogue in the past.

The trio has a lot of ideas and visions to bring the agency into a new era and will be working hard in the coming months on reorganizing and making plans for the agency and the first show after the turn-over.

SL is full of many fantastic publications; each with their own draw and demographics. SXY2nd, though, in the hands of Anessa Stine, Jackson Vantelli and their devoted staff truly had mine but, with their September issue, came the end of a short-lived but wonderful run.

Many of the magazines in SL like to focus on the fashion or try to get to, and ahead of, the myriad of events.  Some focus on the specialty markets and still more focus on the fetishes.  Few, though, focus on the pure enjoyment of the avatar and what it really takes to make one feel good about themselves, how the world perceives them and what it takes to get them there.  SXY2nd, though, was one of those.

So, with a heavy heart, and a sighed satifsfaction at a good run, we bid them farewell.  Will there be another attempt to fill the demographic?  There’s no such thing as a new mousetrap.  We can only sit, wait and see what some of the brilliant minds of our virtu-reality have to offer.

Being one of those (not-so) strange women who have a Thing(tm) for virtu-realistic shoes of all kinds, and being a blogger, one would think that I would have my own blog focused on the other loves of my life. One would think so, but I prefer to leave that to more talented people than myself like Anessa Stine at On Your Toes. This time, though, I need to make an exception as I just have to share that BAX has done it yet again with their Prestige Boots in black and white.

For as long as I’ve known Bax (the person as well as the store) they’ve tried to give the buyer the quality and beauty of a good, virtu-realistic pair of boots, like the BAX Ankle Boots, but at a price that will not make people cringe, husbands cower and fashionistas having to balance between wants and needs.

Now, while having yet another pair of gorgeous boots is enough to set me tingling, that isn’t all that has me dancing about.  With these new Prestige boots, Bax Coen has tested her own scripting limits and has brought us a smooth operating self-fitting system.  Not only can people who actually have shapely calves and ankles finally have boots that fit without having to have a Masters in SL-editing but, worse case scenario, you can remotely have someone help fit it for you; to, perhaps, see the glitches you don’t and help fix them.  Frankly, this is long awaited scripting genius and one long wanted and needed.

Ladies, if you haven’t already, I would highly recommend these boots.  Gentlemen?  The gadget factor, alone, is enough for you to get them for your lady!  Well?  What are you waiting for?  Go!  Go!  Go to BAX Fine Ladies Boots!

Over the last few weeks my search for the best quality,stylish and, yes, sexy maternity wear moved steadily on; my poor husband shaking his head and looking for places to hide as stack box after box in our living room… den… bedroom, I have yet to find something that perfectly fit the bill.

A warning to the strict, die hard, fanatical fashionistas that now would be a good time to turn away… if the picture didn’t already make you do so.

Thora Charron is going to hate me, I know, but I can’t hide my absolute delight as she raises the bar, yet again, on the fashions at [LeLutka].  That’s not the part, though, that will have me running from pitch forks and irate fans.  While there are many beautiful styles for the slim, slender and even my norm, the curvy.  I managed a piece, or three, that can work double duty as maternity wear, and even keep the fashionista mom-to-be in the style of which she’d become accustomed.

What message does this send to the designers making these clothes that adapt so beautifully to even this aspect of our Second Lives?  Bravo!  You’ve touched on a market that is equally in need of quality, beautiful, stylish clothing and we thank you!

Mommies-to-be who, in this metaverse, /choose/ to wear the bump, just because it doesn’t show up in a search for “maternity wear” “Pregnancy clothes”, or whatever, don’t overlook it.  You may be passing up on a gem, and a shop that will see you through the bump and back into the svelte modelesque physiques.
