Sometimes, one is presented with a challenge; in this our third week of 52 Weeks of Color Part Deux challenge, where it’s a personal fight to pull away from what might be stereotypical. After all, in the fun of all of this we strive to be different… to stand out from the crowd, even if just a little. For some iron might bring thoughts the cold days of winter, or the clicks and ticks of robotic gear. I, though, hope to convey a bit of both and visit an imaginative desiger, and designs, I haven’t been to in a long time.

With the unavoidable lure of MESH in the Second Life(tm) landscape it is getting harder and harder to not want… no, need, to update to one of the myriad of viewers (as buggy, laggy and unstable as some of them are) so that one can, at least, see what beauties these talented designers have wrought.

When, just recently, I got this delicious new MESH dress from CHANTKARE I could not help but grin and almost whisper…. “Welcome to the darkside. We have cookies!”

Temptable – Five Years Strong

On January 12th, 2007, a curious former MU*er… (that would be Multi-User Dimension/eXperience etc for y’all who don’t know) logged into Second Life at the invitation of an old friend who thought/hoped it would be an excellent marketing avenue for a mutual business.

She, unfortunately, left but the person she’d invited, Tempest Hennesy, remained.

In the time since, I have seen great, great, breathtaking loves, debilitating heartbreak, deep loyalties in friendships and, fortunately, few false friends… though a great deal more than I would have preferred.

Five years and, in that time and as people in SL do, I guess I’ve changed quiet a bit; at least in appearance and cynicism. How much longer? The future is open…

…the rest is still unwritten.
