InStyle kicks off fall fashion season with the production of this edgy and exciting fashion show that will be held at Skybeam University 146/173/27 amidst the gorgeous colors of autumn trees. This hot show will feature new releases from the incredible designers of Shouted Couture Italian Style. The designers include:

The Garment Rack: Marvelous Minn

Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the marvelous Minnu Palen’s b’day party.  It was a fantastic event filled with music, laughing and, of course, dancing.  Ah, but you don’t peer here for that, do you?  Well, I won’t disappoint.  Not only did I walk away from the evening with fantastic memories of a great time but a little birdie slipped a little sumfin-sumfin in my pocket (keep it clean, naughties!) .  I present you the Johannesburg skin in Dark from Minnu Model Skins.  Above, you’ll see the relatively un-postworked version.  I did nothing to it but create a frame and the composite.

Below, though, is another matter.  I couldn’t leave well enough alone since, with these skins, I’d end up in postwork anyway.  Enjoy!

I’m not normally one to like wearing blue. The New Yorker in me has a bit of a uniform going on with my black, whites, greys and reds, but I just had to say something about this one. I love the color. I love how it makes me feel, how it shows off the skin textures and makes the Mad’s eyes even bluer. I can’t wait to wear it for the InStyle Bolero Fall Preview show on Friday, Sept. 12 @ 12pm slt (http://slurl.com/secondlife/InStyle/195/198/22)!

The Garment Rack: Winter’s Chill

It’s not often that I look into elaborate costuming unless it’s to be worn to an event, but the first time I saw this was on ziamela Loon, herself, when she’d just created it. There was such a fantasy about it that in those very moments how I would do a portrait with it began springing to mind.

This gown came with a silver underskirt and snowy textured overskirt. The near transparent to and leggings added a bit of sexiness to the ensemble while the staff and crown, also in sparkling silver, kept true to the fantasy. Nevermind feeling like a princess, this one can make you feel like a queen. Did I mention, though, that this is only available at Mimi’s Choice until September 21st with Jador Design’s fall line? Oopsie.

The Garment Rack: All That Glitters

I should probably stop coming up with such corny titles but this one just seemed to jump to mind when I look at this dress and the resulting image.

Well, it’s that time again for designers to be influenced by a bit of tradition. Nothing wrong with that, I say. Jador Designs happens to be one of those very designers for which I’m glad. The fall line is on sale only at Mimi’s Choice and only until September 21st.

What love about this particular outfit is attention to texture and detail. I didn’t show it, but the ‘bow’ overlay is actually a jacket layer so that the outfit can be worn as a beautifully simple spaghetti strap. What might not be as event, but needing equal mention, are the sparkling ‘gems’ along the leg, chest and back that aren’t part of the dress texturing but as actual attachments. Simple and elegant.
